THIS TIME, IT'S FO' REAL!


Sorry for the long wait, guys.

Lol watch like... nobody comment on this because I have faded into obscurity. Finals do that.

ANYWAY, THIS TIME WE HAVE THE NEW ADDITION OF ~*~COLOR~*~

I REALLY liked doing some of these in color so expect more colorful sketchdumps in the future!

The subject matter is the usual smattering of normal goofy game art and Gravity/Blackbirds stuff.

Starting in the upper left corner, there's Henry and his BIRD METAPHOOOOR.
An acceptable caption would be "... dude, what the fuck is this thing on my head?"

And as usual, at least ONE thing with a speech bubble wound up too small and faint to be legible. Just a retarded little Blackbirds doodle. Walter appears to have commandeered Henry's socks for some reason and is a lot happier than Henry is about this.
The word bubble reads "HELLO AGAIN RECEIVER OF WISDOM. IT'S BEEN AWHILE. YOU HAVE A CAT NOW. THAT IS PRETTY COOL, I LIKE CATS."

Itty bitty Gravity doodle. Although they have yet to achieve homelessness, I promise that is still the direction the story is going. Laura thinks James's coat smells funny.

Directly above them is a little experimental design I did for what Pyramid Head may in fact look like under his helmet.
I don't actually think he looks like this-- I'm of the theory that the helmet itself is just his head and what's underneath doesn't matter-- but I was getting sick of all the drawings depicting him as a sexy black-haired, emo-scarred bishounen under there.

And then there's Heather getting all up in James's kool-aid. I really enjoy imagining them interact, their personalities are more or less total opposites and I'm pretty sure Heather could have James cowering under a bed within five minutes just from being overly teenage.

The first of the colored pictures, I think this one may be my favorite even if it was more or less just nothing but abuse of the Color Dodge function.
Inspired by a song, it's just Harry and a much younger Heather watching a late afternoon storm from the safety of their kitchen.

Underneath that, there's a forlorn-looking Heather, an Angela (HOLY SHIT I NEVER DRAW HER, THIS MUST BE REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY), and then Henry and James, looking alternately annoyed and distraught. I think I drew them after stumbling across a particularly terrible rapist!James fanfic.

Then in the upper right corner we have another Heather, another Mary, and Henry looking smug and holding a Wii-mote. It is safe to assume that he totally just kicked Eileen's ass at Mario Kart or something.

And then there's a rough little Gravity-related thumbnail of the front hall of the Sunderland house.

In case it hasn't become obvious through the other sketchdumps I've done, I don't do a whole lot of shippy art even if I do find the idea of some non-canon pairings (helloooo Harry/James) cute.
Instead, I just draw retarded pictures of Harry deciding that Henry and James are now his kids. Just. You know. His kids. They don't get any say in the matter. When you are as awesome a dad as Harry, you get to do that.
Henry doesn't seem too pleased.

HOLY SHIT AN EDDIE.
I've never really drawn Eddie before either, so his design was kind of new for me. I'm happy with how it came out, though.
I think Eddie is a sorely neglected character, and a lot of people don't seem to realize how important he is in SH2 even if he's not technically connected to the main plot of the game.
If I got started on my thoughts on the meanings behind the Eddie-James-Angela trio, I could easily talk for the rest of this desc so I won't, but more or less, it makes me sad that Eddie is so often forgotten about or just shunted into a comic relief 'lol fat guy' in most fanart (and fanfic too I guess, I haven't read enough to judge but that GENERALLY seems to be the case).

Am I the only one who thinks that-- if he survived the attempt on his life (which is what happened in Blackbirds, just to clarify-- in case the sheer number of story-related drawings containing him wasn't enough to make it obvious that the story will be an AU), Harry would find Vincent's statement regarding his character hilarious?
HE IS, AFTER ALL, A PRETTY SNEAKY GUY.

And then there's... James having a bit of a moment. Poor bby.
That's his "I need to go find a quiet, safe corner to assume the fetal position in for a few moments" face.

Can't reveal too much about this scene in the hopes of not blathering on about a story that hasn't even been written yet, but it's pre-SH3 by a few months, and it looks like Heather's gotten herself into something bad.
"It's one o'clock in the morning-- do you know where your child is?"

Then on the other side of that, there's a few more Heathers, including ~*~BIRD METAPHOOOORS~*~ which I really need to draw more conceptual art for in general.

And then there's a tiny little heavily-shaded Maria, some more JAMES AND MARY, and yet another Mary. She is so much fun to draw, you guys. I love her. Why does nobody draw Mary. Why. This must be remedied.

Vick is of the opinion that he should be the main character.

Then there's a leeeetle bird metaphor doodle, and a Henry.

A BIG BLACKBIRDS SCEEEENE sort of. I wanted to draw all of the surviving protagonists sitting on the stoop of Harry's house and bein bros, but wound up not having enough room, so it's just James, Laura, Travis, Travis's dog, Heather, and Henry. The rest are... idk getting food or something.
Travis turned out retardedly more enormous than everyone else but I guess that's okay. I'll just claim he's part gorilla.

James is APPALLED at Eddie's behavior.
